Training camps with becoming ultra

We are now offering focused training camps for athletes of all levels. for athletes looking for more of a physical option to retreats and camps, we want to help you take your training to the next level!

Why train with us in person?

In the last 8 years we have hosted over 15 retreats for runners and athletes from all over. While we will continue to host these events but we always want to be able to cater to more passionate athletes. These training camps take the best from our retreats (amazing trails in beautiful places), educated and passionate coaches, and turn up the intensity. Come with a group or sign up for one of our pre scheduled camps and we will be sure to bring a unique perspective in training for your big goals.

What does the training include?

Three to four days of personalized small group training based on the western slope of Colorado (Fruita). From high country training runs, rucks, and hikes to in gym strength training sessions, mobility, piyo sessions, and training clinics to broaden your education and output as an athlete. See the sample itinerary below.

Included:

  • Three days (usually a Thur-Sun) of in person, goal specific training from lifelong coaches.

  • Clinics on various topics. We customize the education based on the groups needs and goals.

  • Curated runs and adventures handpicked for the athletes. We share our favorite spots whether they are popular routes or unique to the area.

  • We cover all lunches and fueling for efforts.

  • In gym coaching and corrective movements during strength and mobility sessions.

  • Small group mobility and piyo classes and instruction.

  • Exit consult. One on one coaching session to help you take the training home with you to apply what you have learned.

What isn’t included?

Although we will have detailed options of lodging and accommodations, each camp will be geared towards the budget and needs of the group. Want to camp to save some money, go for it, there are tons of great places here. You can stay in a short term rental or one of the the local hotels. With lodging being the main cost for retreats we wanted to offer more flexible options to keep the training the goal, not the place we sleep. Fuel for efforts and lunches will be covered by us as well.

Not included:

  • Lodging. Although we will consult with you to make sure you have a good plan based on the itinerary of your trip.

  • Travel.

  • Breakfasts and dinners. We will have planned meals as a crew but they won’t be covered in case people are spread out with lodging.

What does it cost?

We base cost on the number of participants. Between 3 and 8 athletes is the goal and our set minimum and max. We want to have an intimate and intense training camp and keeping numbers down will allow us to give every athlete the attention needed. Cost per athlete will be between $600-$800 depending on numbers.
