Spruce Pine is centrally located between the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, and Roan Mountain.

The Goal

Step challenges are easy. Anyone can do it and they can be really social. For this challenge the goal is to get a whopping 1 million steps for the last 50 days of 2024 but even if you fall short, we are all still helping a community in need! Listen to the podcast or watch the video to learn more.

After you join you will be redirected to a form so we know who you are! We will be doing giveaways throughout the whole process so knowing who we are sending stuff to is huge. At the bottom of the form are links to the FB group and the step counter app! You can download it here to get a head start!

- this is another I hope rebuilds (I think they're planning to) - for reference, our town / county was still dry until 2009 -- then it took us years to have some stable places with booze in town; this and Hef's being the main ones

Also affected was Mariah’s therapist's office (main being in Asheville, a rural office here in Spruce Pine) but I'm sure she will likely just look for an alternative location now. Our sushi place will not be rebuilding :(
