“I have been working with Scott for just over a year and the transformation in my performance has been remarkable. Within the three first months of coaching I managed to run a 50 miler 2 hours faster then before I started working with Scott. I live in Sweden and even though there is a 8 hour time difference Scott always find time to talk to me when ever I need. He is also great at finding inventive workarounds when my life gets complicated to make sure I always get the training done..”

“Scott is a fantastic coach. My schedule is so busy with college, full-time work and family. His ability to adjust my schedule at any moment was priceless. He answers questions quickly and his strength and hip sets were essential in making me strong and capable, while healing a hip problem that I had for more than a year.”

“The coaching with Scott Jones prepared me for success in my first Ultra. I set a goal to run a 50k in the mountains of Zion. As a Florida native, I truly had no idea how to train for this race. Not only was the distance new to me, but the terrain was a whole new experience. The plan allowed me to get stronger, took me out of my comfort zones and gave me an idea of what was possible. The Zion 50k was the hardest race I have ever attempted, but I have never felt more prepared! Thank you Scott!”

“I had never had a coach before and was not sure what to expect. Scott had it all laid out So I could focus on the fun part of running rather then wondering about if I was training enough or over training. when I was pushing my self too hard he was willing to help me back down. and when I did not want to run in the sleet and snow. he gave me the push to get out there and make memories. I could not ask for a better experience.”

“I can't say enough positive things about Scott and BU. Not only have I received amazing guidance, training and advice for all things athletics but I have also gained an amazing community of likeminded individuals who I know will always have my back and share my enthusiasm for endurance efforts. Scott is an incredible coach and an even better human being. I have always felt heard, he has always worked with whatever I have thrown at me, and I've had a great time doing it. I would recommend this to anyone.”

“Love this coaching service! Fun to get connected to others in ultra who are newer to the sport or trying to improve themselves. Good flexibility in the plan. Strength included which is nice. Tons of experience so I can feel confident about my training.”

“Scott’s coaching is great. Equal parts here is the plan and you have to get out there and do it. Knowledgeable on all aspects of fitness and is open to adjusting to my goals as they change. Bonus part to me is it has made me more accountable in everyday life to my family and business partners.”

“I really enjoy working with Scott! Combines the best of making sure you work hard and taking care of you as a whole person and athlete as well. Definitely worth the investment.”

“I really love working with Scott! As a wife, nurse and mom to two teenage boys not having to plan my running/exercise routine is great. Scott is knowledgeable and very supportive. He helps me reach my goals while also keeping me strong and healthy for life. We sometimes forget that in order to care for anyone else we have to take care of ourselves first! Highly recommend!”

“Scott has coached me from my first backyard ultra which was through the Becoming Ultra Project to my most recent effort, a finish at the Wasatch Front 100 Mile Endurance Run. I really cannot put into words how Scott’s coaching for 4+ years has helped me.
Scott’s expertise and extensive knowledge and background in endurance training equipped him with every tool necessary to get me to every start line and finish line. The training has always been tailored to my needs as an athlete, my goals, life and parenting four kids.
Scott has always emphasized the importance of enjoying the process of training over everything. Throughout the four years, Scott has always implemented a perfect blend of strength and mobility in addition to the running to keep me injury free. I learned early on in working with Scott how important he felt this component of training was.
I trusted his training and have been diligent in strength and mobility and as a result have remained injury free through many high mileage training blocks. The strength and mobility program provided has always been crucial in helping me recover fairly quickly so I can get back to doing what I love…hitting the trails, training and being active with my kids. As a result of working with Scott for such a long time, he is incredibly in tune with what my needs and desires are as an athlete. He sees the big picture when I might not. He sees when to push you and when to back you off. He has been incredible supportive through every effort, including the ones that didn’t quite go to plan.
I think it would absolutely be safe to say that his coaching has been life changing. I recently completed the Wasatch 100. Prior to working with Scott, I would have looked at a race like Wasatch 100 and said “I could NEVER do that, with a heavy emphasis on NEVER. My belief that I actually could run and finish Wasatch was born and nurtured through Scott’s belief that I can literally do anything. Scott’s coaching is impeccable but it is absolutely his unwavering support of all his athletes that sets him apart..”
